My story
I’m your typical 21 year old tea, coffee, and ethnic food loving econ fanboy. I’m a student of Finance with a passion for markets and life long interest in the web. Â I started this blog in 2006 after a trip to Spain during high school to explore different budget travel opportunities. As a broke student who loved travel and culture, it seemed like a good fit.
Over the years i’ve learned a lot about the backpacking and budget travel arena and was able to put some of my knowledge in practice July 2009 - January 2010 when I was abroad. I lived in Bangkok, Thailand on a semester exchange program through my University and had the opportunity to see SE Asia and India. We got along really well, and I highly recommend the region to anybody, esp. western 20 nothings. Twas undoubtedly the best 6 months of my life.
